MEER Psychiatric Clinic – Booking and Cancellation Policy
This Booking Policy outlines the terms and conditions for scheduling appointments with psychologists and psychiatrists at Meer Psychiatric Clinic. We are committed to providing ethical, professional, and confidential mental health services, adhering strictly to the regulations set by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
1. Appointment Scheduling
•Appointments can be scheduled via phone, email, or our online booking system.
•A valid Emirates ID or passport is required for registration of new patients.
•Patients must provide accurate contact details to receive appointment confirmations and reminders.
•Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for their appointment. Consent forms must be signed by the parent or legal guardian prior to the session.
2. Consultation Fees and Payment
•Consultation fees vary depending on the specialist’s expertise and the duration of the session.
•Payment is required in advance or at the time of the appointment, in line with clinic policy.
•Insurance claims will be processed in accordance with DHA-approved insurance providers and their policies.
•Any refunds or adjustments will follow the cancellation and refund policy stated below.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
• Patients must provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
•Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee.
•Failure to attend an appointment without prior notice (“no-show”) may result in limitations on future bookings or a no-show fee.
4. Late Arrival Policy
•Late arrivals will result in shortened session time to avoid impacting subsequent appointments, while the full consultation fee will still apply.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
•All patient information is strictly confidential and handled in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations and DHA guidelines.
•Patient records are securely stored and accessed only by authorized personnel.
•Information will not be shared with third parties without the patient’s written consent, except when required by law or in cases of safety concerns.
6. Emergency and Crisis Situations
•Meer Psychiatric Clinic does not provide emergency or crisis intervention services.
•In the event of a psychiatric emergency, patients are advised to contact DHA-approved emergency services or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
